Wh and what we Do
THE ASSOCIATION:
CLEAR is a community of Rights/Clearances and Archival/Content Research Specialists with the goal to pool our experience and knowledge to further the reach and access of its members. We are career path professionals largely based in the Los Angeles area working in the areas of photo, stock and archival footage; theatrical/television clip licensing, talent and estate clearances, music synchronization and master recording licenses, guild excerpt fees, script reports and script clearances. We are also known as the Clear group or just Clear. |
Our members conduct the content research and provide the rights and clearances administration for a great many of the television programs and feature films you watch every day.
MISSION & FOCUS:
☑️ Create professional networking, educational and social events for our members.
☑️ Maintain a portal for the entertainment, advertising, publishing and licensing industries to find qualified and experienced clearance and research professionals.
STRUCTURE:
The group was founded in 1998 by several Clearance professionals. We currently have 135+ members mostly based in the Southern California area. Between 2010-2013 the group re-organized its structure as a corporate association and business league and registered as a 501(c)6 Non Profit Group. All Board positions are elected volunteers, 100% of dues goes towards events, networking and expanding the reach and exposure of the group within our related industries.
We are exclusively funded by dues and sponsorships. Our group is a labor of love and dedication among its members to pool our resources and dues to expand our reach.
